Thomas Knight & Pleasant his wife, Richard Lake & Mary his wife, customary tenants, surrendered a cottage containing two bays adjoining the house of Edward Hobcroft in Winslow with the yard [atrio] belonging to it 39½ feet long and at the upper end 17½ feet wide, and from the house towards the yard [atrium] 12 feet long and 4 feet wide. To the use of William Retchford clerk, who was admitted tenant. Rent 6s 8d. Fine 5s, heriot 6s by composition.
[Richard Lake was the mortgagee (see 1663 court). William Retchford was rector of Addington.]

Thomas Bett & Elizabeth his wife, customary tenants, surrendered all that part of a messuage or cottage in Winslow lately in Thomas' occupation and now in the occupation of William East containing two bays with a yard [atrio] containing 22 feet. To the use of Thomas Wells. Rent 2d, fine 5s.
[This was part of 36-40 High Street. Thomas Wells had already bought part of it in 1670.]

Henry Wyat surrendered 2 acres of arable land in Old Feild over a cultivation called Coledome furlong within the parish of Winslow, the land of Francis Dasset north and Robert Heale south. To the use of Matthew Bishopp. Rent 6d, fine 4s.

John Underwood and Elizabeth his wife, customary tenants, surrendered a messuage in Sheepe Street of Winslow now in the occupation of John Dymock & Richard Purchase or their assigns. To the use of John Dymock & Jane his wife. Rent 4d, fine 5s, heriot 7s 6d by composition.
[There's a copy of this entry at BAS 376/22 no.4. It was the Brick House on the site of Winslow Hall. John Dymock married Jane Townsend in 1671.]

Henry Wyat surrendered 3<½> acres of arable land lying separately in the common fields of Winslow:

To the use of William Wyat. Rent 10½, fine 7s.

Ralph Finch, Edward Finch & John Finch surrendered all those customary lands in Winslow containing 16 acres (except 1 acre of "leyes" lying behind John Finch's house). To the use of William Retchford clerk, who was admitted tenant. Rent 4s, fine 3s.
[When John Finch mortgaged this land to his brothers in 1669, the fine was 30s.]

Wendover Lownds surrendered 2 acres of arable land lying together in Demoram Feild extending to Buryhedge, William Spooner east. To the use of William Furthe. Rent 6d. On condition that if Wendover pays him £12 17s 6d on 29 Sep next, the surrender to be void. Fine [blank].

Richard Stephens surrendered a piece of pasture in Granborough as awarded annually by lot. To the use of John Bowden of Granborough butcher [lan']. Rent 1d, fine 6d.

Thomas Godwin and Mary his wife, customary tenants, surrendered 4 "Ridges" of arable land in Newmill Feild of Winslow over the cultivation called Overleyes furlong, contaning 2 acres, Edward Paxton's land lying between them. To the use of Thomas Willmott of Winslow "Taylor". Rent 6d, fine 4s.

Dorothy Miller surrendered 4 acres of arable land lying separately in the common fields of Shipton:

Wendover Lownds surrendered 2½ acres of arable land lying separately in Newmill Feild of Winslow:

To the use of Francis Dassett. Rent 7½d, fine 5s.

Peter Stuthbury surrendered a messuage or cottage now in his own occupation in Winslow. To the use of Frances Stuthbury now his wife for her life, and after her decease to Peter's heirs. Rent 4d, fine 5s.

Edward Palmer gent. surrendered a piece of land in Winslow lying at the eastern end of John Godwin's house next to the stable of the Angell Inn 9 feet in length and in width extending from one end of the house to to the other. To the use of John Godwin and Rabsia his wife for the term of their lives, and after their decease to the heirs of their bodies, or for want of such issue to the rightful heirs of Rabsey. Rent 1d, fine 6d.

John Hobbs & Jane his wife, customary tenants, surrendered a messuage or cottage in Winslow with barns, stables, yards, orchard & garden, and also a close of pasture adjoining the messuage, being all their customary land held of the manor. To the use of Thomas Deeley. Rent 6d, fine 5s.
[This was in Shipton according to a surrender made in 1684]

John Godwin sr surrendered a messuage in Winslow now in the occupation of John Godwin jr. To the use of John Godwin jr & Rabsia his wife for their lives, and after their decease to the heirs of their bodies, or for want of such issue to Rabsia's heirs. Rent 6d, fine 5s.

Richard Reade surrendered a tenement in Little Horwood next to the tenement of Richard Quoy with a piece of land as it is now divided containing 4½ perches, the said Richard's land to the west. And a piece of land bought from one William Meade adjoining it containing a half-acre. To the use of William Meade. Rent 3d, fine 5s.

John Verney surrendered a messuage in Little Horwood, the land of Newman Willett west, the king's highway east. To the use of William Whitehall & Katherine his wife for their lives and to the heirs of the one living longer. Rent 3d, fine 5s.

Alice Lownds surrendered 1 acre of arable land in Oldmill Feild over Stonefurlong, Edward Paxton south. To Alice's use for her life, then to the use of Diana Teagle wife of Abraham Teagle of Shenley [blank]. Rent 3d, fine 2s.

[Alice (nee Spooner) was the widow of Robert Lowndes sr, and Diana was presumably her daughter referred to elsewhere as Dionise. Thomas Chandler's wife Elizabeth could be Alice Lowndes' daughter Elizabeth.]

William Stephens jr held 2 acres of arable land in the fields of Granborough. He died since the last court. Heriot [blank]. [blank] son of William's brother John Stephens is his nearest heir, aged [blank]. He humbly sought to be admitted. Rent [blank], fine 6d. He did fealty and was admitted.

[m.3] Stephen Younge gent. & Elizabeth his wife, customary tenants, surrendered all right which they could have in 39 acres of land and meadow in Winslow. To the use of Edward Palmer gent. (being in full and peaceful possession).
[This was a transfer of the mortgage of William Hogson's land made in 1663]

Hugh Seaton & Katherine his wife surrendered a messuage and 20 acres of land in Winslow. To the use of Richard Seaton & Elizabeth his wife for their lives, then to the heirs of their bodies, and for want of such issue to Richard's rightful heirs. Rent 5s, fine [blank].
[This seems to repeat a surrender already made in 1661. Richard Seaton (1632-1706) was Hugh's eldest son.]

John Thorpe surrendered a messuage in Granborough now in his own occupation and a close adjoining containing 1 acre. To the use of Susan Michell. Rent [blank]. On condition that if John pays her the sum of £53 on 19 May 1672, the surrender to be void. Fine 5s. Seisin granted.

Silvester Claver surrendered a messuage in Winslow now in the occupation of William Hogson and 1 acre of "leyes" lying behind the messuage. To the use of Susan Michell. Rent 6d. On condition that if he pays her £63 12s on 19 May 1672, the surrender to be void. Fine 5s. Seisin granted.

Ann Eeles widow who held a cottage in Little Horwood with a "ley" died since the last court. Heriot 1d by composition. John Eeles is her [blank] and nearest heir and aged 8. Rent 3d, fine 5s. He did fealty and was admitted.

Mary Leach Spinster who held a messuage and 3 acres of arable land in the fields of Winslow died since the last court. Heriot [erased]. Benjamin Leach is her brother and nearest heir and of full age. Rent 11d, fine 6s. He did fealty and was admitted.
[Mary received this property by her father's deathbed surrender in 1669]

John Snow surrendered a messuage and close in Shipton, the land of Richard Phipps north, and also 4 acres of arable land in the fields of Shipton:

To the use of Francis Glenister, on condition to be void if John pays him £47 4s as follows: 48s on 6 May 1672 and 1673 and £42 8s on 6 May 1674. Rent 1s, fine 8s. Francis was admitted.

George Elliott surrendered 4 "Ridges" of arable land in Oldmill Feild over Stone furlong, Michael Norman south, and 5 ridges of arable land in Newmill Feild over Bubblesgore containing 3 acres, to the following uses: half to the use of Abel Saire and half to the use of Thomas Sayre. On condition that if George pays Abel and Thomas each £15 on 22 Nov next, the surrender to be void. Fine 6s.

John Illing and Elizabeth his wife, customary tenants, surrendered 7 acres of arable land in the fields of Little Horwood (being no part of the land lately granted to William Illing & Thomas Okeley). To the use of Martin Slingesby gent., but disposing of the premisses according to his will. Rent 1s 8d, fine 14s.

John Illing on 6 Oct 1658 surrendered by the then steward a messuage and 4½ acres of meadow in Little Horwood to the use of Charles Stamford gent., on condition to be void on payment of a certain sum of money on a certain day now past, which money was not paid. According to the form of the surrender, it was presented that Charles died seised thereof, whence arises heriot of 10s by composition. And that Sarah Hutt wife of John Hutt gent. and Jane Hubbert wife of Charles Hubbert gent. are his daughters and co-heirs. They were present in court and were granted seisin. Rent 1s 6d, fine 9s.
Afterwards John Illing surrendered all right and claim.

Hugh Seaton sr & Katherine his wife & Susan Michell, customary tenants, surrendered:

To the use of John Seaton & Mary his wife for their lives, then to the heirs of their bodies, and for want of such issue to John's rightful heirs. Rent 1s 6d, fine 12s.

Hugh Seaton sr & Katherine his wife & Susan Michell, customary tenants, surrendered a messuage in Winslow now in the occupation of Robert Seaton and 2 bays of barn with yard [atrio] and orchard belonging thereto as now divided, with a garden on the west side of the messuage, and also 9 acres of arable land lying separately in the fields of Winslow:

To the use of Robert Seaton. Rent 2s 3d, fine 18s.

If there was a court in October 1671, the records haven't survived.
