Winslow Oral History Project

This heritage project, which started in 2011, had some initial funding from the sponsors of the St Laurence Room extension and refurbishment.

The project will have two phases:
1. To record the reminiscences of people who have lived or worked in Winslow for many years. This phase is underway.
2. To record a representative group of the present generation of Winslow people talking about what they do, their pastimes, their hopes  and aspirations.

The recordings will be carefully indexed and kept for posterity. A selection of clips from the recordings are available on these web pages for people to listen to. Interview summaries can also be accessed from here. Many of the full interviews will be available to listen to at Winslow Library in 2013.

If you know of anyone who has valuable stories to tell about bygone Winslow we would be pleased to hear from you. Please see the About us page for contact details.
