[translation] In the name of God amen. On 20 August 1509 I William Mynge, being sound of mind and of good memory, make and ordain my will in this way. First I bequeath my soul to almighty God, the blessed Mary the virgin and all the saints, and my body to be buried in the churchyard of the church of the holy Laurence of Wynslow. Item I bequeath to the mother church of St Albans 2d. Item I bequeath to the high altar one bushel of malt. Item I bequeath to the lights of the chancel and the lights of the whole church one pound of wax. Item I bequeath to each altar of the aforesaid church one bushel of malt. Item I bequeath to the crucifix one bushel of malt. Item I bequeath to the bells 4d. Item I bequeath to the torches 4d. The residue of all my goods unbequeathed I give and bequeath to Joan my wife, and I make and appoint the same Joan my sole executrix, and I make and appoint Richard Wyllows my supervisor, to carry out justly and faithfully each and every thing as stated above. Given at Wynslow on the abovenamed day and year before these witnesses: Master George the vicar and Richard Wyllows and Master Roger the presbyter.
