Notes
Martha King of 10 High Street was the daughter of James and Elizabeth Anne King, and the last member of that King family in Winslow. She was 74 when she died. Her father moved temporarily to Birmingham after one of his two bankruptcies, which must be why her brother was living there. She was usually known as Miss King, and was secretary to the Winslow Lace Industry.
1922: Buckingham Advertiser, 29 April
Hon. Rose Hubbard writing, through our columns, to the workers in the Winslow Lace Industry says: "We are all mourning loss of our kind and faithful friend Miss King, who had for so many years filled the post of secretary”
