Notes

George William Ingram (1853-1922) was the second son of the John Ingram who tried to kill his wife in 1873, and younger brother and principal beneficiary of John William Ingram (1847-1917). He apparently took over his father's farming activities at Steeple Claydon; his address in 1911 was The Beeches, Steeple Claydon, which was apparently his wife's house. She was Mary Butcher, and they got married in 1879 (registered at Oxford). He moved back to 86 High Street, Winslow (now demolished) after his brother's death. He renamed the house "Antilles". Mary died in 1933 aged 79, having moved back to Steeple Claydon.
