Notes

For more about Louisa, read about her father Samuel Burnham Dudley, and about her divorce in 1883. After her father died, she and her mother left 5 Horn Street and lived at 17 Market Square, where her mother died in 1902. That was the only property rescued from the collapse of their father's fortune when, after he died, all his property proved to have been mortgaged. Louisa sold the house for £350 and moved to Buckingham. In the 1911 Census she was described as boarder in Mary Painter's house at 7 Market Hill, Buckingham.
