Notes
Arthur Grace (son of George) inherited the Forge from his uncle John Grace (d.1909), and became the third generation of the family to run it, later succeeded by his son Stanley. In 1901 Arthur was running the Crooked Billet before moving back to the Forge. He married Jane Ann Putnam, originally from Towcester. Apart from their son Stanley (b.1895) they had a daughter Violet Hope Grace (b.1897). She married Clifford Moorse in 1928 (Aylesbury Registration District) and was living at the Forge in 1939. She died in 1946 at Aylesbury.
