In the yeare of our Lord According to the Computation used in the Church of England one Thousand Six Hundred eaighty & Fower I Katherine Booller widdow now of Winslow in the County of Bucks being in Reasonable good Helth of Body & of parfect mind & memory I give Almighty God thanks for the same but Calling to mind that Great Statue [sic] of Heaven that it is appointed for all men & women once to dy I doe make this my Last will & Teastiment in maner & Forme Following  First & primarily I Committ my soull to God that gave it & my Body to the earth to be descently Buried.  

My goods to my exsequitar by name Charles Boolar the youngar all my mony at Risborough which is \Twenty Pound/ in William Gunimans hand & also all housald goods & part of wareing Apparell namely my satten iscoh petti coat & my Read cloth petticoatt & my New howd & my New green Appron: & all my the rest of my wareing Apparell to be devided amongth the other of my sonne Charls Boollurs Chilldren by the discretion of ther Father & mother in witnese thereof I sett to my hand &

Notes

Katherine Bowler was buried on 29 April 1689. She appears to have written her will herself. She was apparently the widow of Charles Bowler of Longwick who bought a large holding at Winslow in 1664 (see below), and mother of Charles Bowler of Fenny Stratford who sold most of it to William Lowndes in 1698, which makes the Charles Bowler, cordwainer who made his will in 1724 her grandson, and the executor named in the will. He was baptised at Winslow 28 March 1665, and his first child was baptised at Winslow in 1693 so he probably returned from Stratton Audley after his grandmother's death.

satten iscoh = satinisco: an inferior quality of satin, attested in the 17th century (OED)

Katherine's husband Charles Bowler came from Longwick near Princes Risborough, and acquired the property which formerly belonged to John Grant alias Miller in Shipton:

[summarised from Latin] 19 April 1664. William Bignel and Alice his wife surrendered the messuage in which he now lives in Shipton, with the closes and 60 acres and 10 acres of land. To the use of Charles Bowler jr of Longwicke. Rent [blank], fine £7, heriot £1 10s by composition.
