Notes
George Starkey was born at Farthinghoe and married Sarah Baldwin (1819-1914), daughter of Richard Baldwin (d.1861), and kept The Crown at Tingewick. In 1881 they were living at 15 Market Square with Augustine Stevens, Sarah's nephew. The other two nephews were evidently on the Starkey side of the family. George bought 13 Market Square (the house referred to in the will) in 1885.
