Anno domini millesimo quingentesimo vicesima secunda die mensis decembris Ego Johannes Molendinarius de Wynslow compos mentis & sane memorie tamen eger in corpore condo testamentum meum in hunc modum In primis do & lego animam meam deo patri omnipotenti beate marie virgine & omnibus sanctis & corpus meum sepeliendum in cimitero sancti laurencii Item lego summo altari duos modios ordii Item lego Monasterio Sancti Albani viij d Item cuilibet altari unum modium ordii Item reparacioni Crucifixi xl d Item lego campanis iiij d Item lego torchiis unum modium ordii Residuum omnium bonorum meorum non legatorum do & lego Helene uxori mee & Thome filio meo quos ordino facio & constituo executores meos ut ipsi disponant pro salute anime mee & animabus antecessorum meorum hiis testibus Johanne Davy & Thoma Coper et constituo Ricardum Wylom de Wynslow supervisorem

Probatum fuit huiusmodi testamentum xix die mensis Januarii Anno predicto coram prefato domino Archidiacono &c Commisaque fuit administracio & c Executoribus in eodem testamento nominatis & c

[translation] In the name of God Amen Anno Domini one thousand five hundred the twenty second day of the month of December I John Miller [Molendinarius] of Wynslow of sound mind and perfect memory but sick in body make my testament in this manner. First I leave my soul to Almighty God the Father and the Blessed Virgin Mary and all the Saints, my body to be buried in the graveyard of St Laurence.  Item I leave to the High Altar two measures of barley. Item I leave to the Monastery of St Albans 8d.  Item to each altar one measure of barley.  Item to the repair of the Crucifix 40d. Item I leave to the bells 4d. Item I leave for the candles one measure of barley.  The residue of all my goods not bequeathed I give to Helen my wife and Thomas my son, whom I ordain, make and constitute my executors to dispose (of them) for the salvation of my soul and the souls of my ancestors. With these witnesses: John Davy and Thomas Coper. And I appoint Richard Wylom of Wynslow supervisor.

This will was proved on 19 January of the year aforesaid [i.e. 1501 new style] before the aforesaid Lord Archdeacon etc., and administration was entrusted to the executors named in the same will, etc.
