Notes
Emma Holt was aged 71 when she died. She and her husband were retired farmers. Emma was born at Grendon Underwood and her maiden name was Simms. They were married at Camberwell in 1881. They were living at College Farm, Castlethorpe in 1901 with a son Berthold (d.1916), daughter Lilian who had been born at Quainton, and William's sister Sarah Holt. They lived at 162 High Street (now Northfield House) which they bought in 1915 after the death of the previous owner George Ingram. It was sold again when W.S. Holt died in 1923 (see a summary of his will). 164 High Street would have been included in the sales. By 1923 Lilian was married to Frank Edward Simms.
