Notes
William Hogg, widower, was buried at Adstock on 30 Dec 1777. He was baptised there in 1709, son of William (d.1752) and Sarah Hogg. It's not clear when he acquired his property in Winslow, which he doesn't seem to have inherited. His daughter Mary (b.1743) married John Turnbull of Winslow at Adstock in 1764, and his daughter Sarah (b. 1752) married William Butcher of Steeple Claydon at Adstock in 1769.
The Winslow court book for 1778 records that William Hogg late of Adstock Yeoman held a messuage near the Market Hill in Winslow now in the occupation of John Turnbull. He surrendered to the use of his will on 1 Jan 1767 and by his will dated 23 Jan 1772 bequeathed the messuage to his daughter Mary wife of John Turnbull who desires to be admitted. John and Mary then surrender to the use of them, their heirs and assigns for ever.
The property (so far unidentified) passed to John and Mary's son John Turnbull in 1798.
