Will of Rebecca Foxley of Padbury, widow, 1900 (proved 1901)

This is the last Will and Testament of me Rebecca Foxley of Padbury in the County of Buckingham, Widow. I appoint my friends Thomas Bonner of Buckingham Solicitors Clerk and Jabez Burton of Padbury Miller and Farmer Executors and Trustees of this my Will. I direct the payment of my just debts and funeral and testamentary expenses as soon as convenient [sic] may be after my decease. I bequeath all the household furniture and effects in and about the house in which I reside in Padbury aforesaid to my daughter Rebecca Jane Foxley absolutely. I give devise and bequeath all the rest residue and remainder of my real and personal estate and effects whatsoever and wheresoever of or to which I shall be entitled at the time of my decease unto the said Thomas Bonner and Jabez Burton Upon trust to sell and convert the same into money and after paying thereout all expenses to divide the residue between my four children namely Fanny Foxley William Foxley Thomas Francis Foxley and Rebecca Jane Foxley in equal shares I revoke all other Wills by me heretofore made and declare this to be my last Willa and Testament.  In Witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand this nineteenth day of December one thousand nine hundred. Signed by the said Rebecca Foxley as and for her last Will and Testament in the presence of us present at the same time who at her request in her sight and presence and in the presence of each other have hereunto subscribed our names as witnesses. The words ‘real and’ between the tenth and eleventh lines of this my Will having having [sic] been first inserted.

On the Twenty ninth day of August 1901 Probate of this Will was granted at Oxford to Thomas Bonner one of the Executors,
It is hereby certified that the foregoing is a correct Copy.
Dated this Fifth day September 1901.

BE IT KNOWN that Rebecca Foxley of Padbury in the County of Buckingham, widow, who at the time of her death had a fixed place of abode at Padbury aforesaid, within the District of the Counties of Oxford, Berks and Buckingham, died on the 24th day of December 1900 at Padbury aforesaid.

AND BE IT FURTHER KNOWN  that at the date hereunder written the last Will and Testament of the said deceased was proved and registered in the District Probate Registry of His Majesty’s High Court of Justice at Oxford and that administration of all the estate which by law devolves to and vests in the personal representative of the said deceased was granted by the aforesaid Court to Thomas Bonner of Buckingham in the County of Buckingham, solicitor’s clerk, one of the Executors named in the said Will.
Jabez Burton, the other Executor named in the said Will having renounced the Probate and execution thereof.

Rebecca Foxley was the proprietor of the Station Brickyard (although not the owner of the land), and her son William lived on the site.She was the widow of Thomas Foxley, and lived at West Hill Farm, Padbury.
