This is the last Will and Testament of me Thomas Foster of North Marston Nr Winslow in the County of Bucks Labourer made this Twenty fourth day of April in the year of our Lord One thousand eight hundred and Ninety six I hereby revoke all Wills made by me heretofore I appoint Thomas Walker Labourer and Mary Louise Walker wife of the said Thomas Walker & both of North Marston to be my Executors and direct that all my debts and funeral expenses shall be paid as soon as conveniently may be after my decease I give and bequeath unto Elizabeth Price widow of the late of Frederick Price of North Marston all  moneys due upon Insurance Policies Clubs or elsewhere at my death to be hers absolutely & entirely without any reserve whatever I do also give & bequeath To Kate Price daughter of Elizabeth Price aforesaid all my Household furniture goods and Agricultural Implements or whatever else I may die possessed of to be hers absolutely & entirely to use as she shall think proper & I do declare this to be my last Will In Witness whereof I Thomas Foster do set my hand this 24 day of April in the year  of our Lord One thousand eight hundred and ninety six

On the Second day of October 1896 Probate of this Will was granted at Oxford to Thomas Walker and Mary Louise Walker (Wife of the said Thomas Walker) the Executors
It is hereby certified that the above is a correct Copy
Dated this 8th of October 1896

BE IT KNOWN  that at the date hereunder written the last Will and Testament of Thomas Foster late of Winslow in the County of Buckingham, formerly of North Marston in the same County, deceased, who died on the 3rd day of August 1896, at Winslow aforesaid, and who at the time of his death had a fixed place of abode at Winslow aforesaid within the District of the Counties of Oxford, Berks and Buckingham, was proved and registered in the District Probate Registry of Her Majesty’s High Court of Justice at Oxford and that Administration of the personal estate of the said deceased was granted to  Thomas Walker, Labourer and Mary Louise Walker (Wife of the said Thomas Walker), both of North Marston aforesaid, the Executors named in the said Will, they having been first sworn to well and faithfully administer

Notes

Thomas Foster was aged 82 when he died. The reason for his moving from North Marston to Winslow between April and August 1896 was probably to be looked after in the Workhouse before he died. The 1891 Census shows him as a widower living alone in Hogshaw Road, North Marston.
