Notes

Mary Egerton was buried at Little Horwood in 1708, where she was baptised in 1684. She was the daughter of Anthony Godwin (d.1706), and married Philip Egerton at Winslow on 25 Sep 1707. He was baptised at Adstock in 1683, son of the rector. He bought the shop next to The Angel in 1706. He brought a Chancery case against his mother-in-law about Mary's share of her father's estate, and another case was brought against him and others by his sister-in-law Elizabeth Godwin. He disappears from Winslow records after 1711.
