Notes

Mary Egerton was not buried at Winslow. She was nee Godwyn, and married Philip Egerton at Winslow on 25 Sep 1707. He may be the Philip Egerton baptised at Adstock in 1683, son of the rector. He bought the shop next to The Angel in 1706. Thomas Godwyn of The Angel had a daughter Mary baptised at Winslow on 16 May 1667, which would make an unusual age difference but Mary presumably had property of her own or her husband would not have taken out an administration bond.
