Will of Mary Blunsom, widow, 1897 (proved 1912)

This is the last Will and Testament of me Mary Blunsom of Winslow in the County of Bucks Widow I revoke all testamentary instruments heretofore executed by me and I I appoint my Son in-law  William Hall Stevens and my Daughter Alice Mary Blunsom Executors of this my Will I bequeath to my Daughter Alice Mary all the Household Furniture and other Household effects (except Silver plate and Linen) belonging to me at the time of my death for her own use absolutely. I bequeath all my silver plate and linen to my Daughters Annie  Agnes Stevens and Alice Mary Blunsom in equal shares and whereas I have received from my Daughter Alice Mary from time to time the income arising from certain Bank Shares belonging to her since the year 1892 Now I acknowledge that the said amounts and any similar amounts I may receive from her have been received by me by way of a loan and direct my Executors to repay the same to her but without interest and I direct my said Executors if the Cash in the House and to my Credit at the Bank be insufficient to pay the said debt and my other debts Funeral and Testamentary expenses then to sell sufficient of my shares in the Northamptonshire Union Bank to satisfy the same and Lastly I give the remainder of my said Shares in the Northamptonshire Union Bank and all other my property (if any) both real and personal to my said Daughters in equal shares. In witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand this Second day of October One thousand eight hundred and ninety seven.

On the Twenty second day of June 1912. Probate of this Will was granted at Oxford to William Hall Stevens, and Alice Mary Blunsom, the Daughter, the Executors.

 It is hereby certified that the foregoing is a correct Copy
Dated this Twenty seventh day of June 1912.

BE IT KNOWN that Mary Blunsom of Winslow in the County of Buckingham, Widow, who at the time of her death had a fixed place of abode at Winslow aforesaid, within the district of the Counties of Oxford, Berks and Buckingham, died on the 1st day of March 1912 at Winslow aforesaid. 

AND BE IT FURTHER KNOWN  that at the date hereunder written the last will and Testament of the said deceased was proved and registered in the District Probate Registry of His Majesty’s High Court of Justice at Oxford, and that administration of all the estate which by law devolves to and vests in the personal representative of the said deceased was granted by the aforesaid Court to William Hall Stevens, Tailor and Alice Mary Blunsom, Spinster, the Daughter of the deceased, both of Winslow aforesaid, the Executors named in the said Will

Notes

The 1911 Census shows Mary Blunsom aged 73, private means, b. Tiffield, Northants, living at The Beeches, Buckingham Road (her house is now no.28) with her daughter Alice Mary Blunsom (aged 41, b. Northampton). They had been there since at least 1891. Mary's original surname was Rolfe, but her Winslow connection was through her other daughter Annie Agnes who married William Hall Stevens in 1884 and lived at 27 High Street.
