Notes
This inventory was taken by George Wigley, and the valuations of the individual items were given in his usual code, not reproduced here.
Sarah Baseley, widow, died at Swanbourne on 26 Jan 1885 aged 85. She was born at Wingrave. Probate of her will was granted on 27 July to her granddaughter, Rebecca Scott of Charwelton Hall near Daventry, spinster. Her personal estate was valued at £40 8s 7d. In 1881 they were living together at Nearton End, Swanbourne. Sarah was the widow of John Baseley of Dodley Hall Farm who died in 1881 aged 86.
It's not clear how Sarah came to have furniture at Winslow. It had probably been put into storage after her death.
